Who We Are

Founded in 2008, HIDA Uganda is a beacon of hope and progress in the heart of Africa. We are a non-profit organization driven by the vision of a thriving, self-sufficient Uganda, where every individual has the opportunity to live a life of dignity, health, and education. Our team is a vibrant mix of local and international professionals, volunteers, and community leaders, all united by a shared passion for sustainable development and social justice.

Our Mission

At HIDA Uganda, our mission transcends beyond mere aid – it’s about empowerment. We aim to break the vicious cycle of poverty by implementing sustainable solutions in education, healthcare, and community development. We believe that through collective efforts and strategic partnerships, we can foster a future where every Ugandan has the tools and opportunities to succeed.

What We Do

Educational Empowerment: Recognizing education as a fundamental right, we have built and equipped schools, developed educational programs, and offered scholarships to ensure that even the most marginalized children can dream of a better future. Our teacher training initiatives aim to elevate the quality of education and inspire the next generation of leaders and thinkers.

  2. Healthcare Initiatives: We operate with the conviction that good health is the cornerstone of development. Our healthcare programs are multifaceted, encompassing mobile health clinics, vaccination drives, public health education, and partnerships with local hospitals to enhance healthcare infrastructure.

  3. Sustainable Development Projects: We tackle the root causes of poverty through sustainable agriculture training, clean water projects, and renewable energy initiatives. These projects not only provide immediate relief but also equip communities with the knowledge and resources for long-term sustainability.
